Academic Vocabulary Paragraph Assessment SS2 - Technical Colleges

Technical College is not right for me. One reason is I feel that I will give up on whatever I’m working to get. The second reason is because I’m not used to being on task or working all the time. I’m more of the person that needs to be distracted. The third reason is because if I can’t really get high school classes, what do I expect to do at technical college. I just can’t become proficient a the subjects I want to take. In conclusion, a technical college wouldn't be the best for me for my intelligence.

SS1- Schemes

"Get rich fast" schemes do not work because the person that makes the pages lies about the whole thing. The person in charge usually takes the email addresses and sends them different spams. The person registering usually never get the money it says they will if they fill out some stuff. The proportion of the money goes to the owner of the website. The whole "Get rich fast" is just a big scheme. I recommend not signing up. All you are going to do is get your hopes up for something that will never happen. Maybe some of the schemes actually will get you rich faster.

Lord of the Flies - Before You Read - Power Struggle

Whenever there is a group of people, they will struggle for power. One person might not like how the other person is handling things, so they would basically do anything to overthrow the person in charge. Also, they would struggle as well because everyone will want everything to go their way. They will in fact even kill someone in the group just to get that power. Everyone wants it to go their way.

They used their body language to get men to like them and stay with them. When the men start to leave them, the women kill them or eat them. Stories like this influence girls to think that they can do it in real life. They can get any guy that they want and if they leave them, they could kill them or something like that. It also influences girls to think that they can keep them forver with their charms and looks.

"Legal Alien/Extranjera Legal" Before You Read

I feel trapped and stuck between two worlds. Those two worlds are reality and fantasy. I'm always thinking about how my life could of been in my fantasy world. When I come back to reality, it's completely different. I try everything I can to make my life better and how I want it to be like in my fantasy world. But I know that some fantasy things can't really happen. I would rather live in my fantasy world then in reality sometimes. Until this day, I'm still to face reality. Someone once told me "Open your eyes to reality and stop living in your fantasy world. Because someday you'll have to face them in the future. So open now then later, or you're going to regret it." After I was told that, I went in thinking mode. I thought about trying to open my eyes to reality. It was hard at first but little by little reality is getting harder and making me a better person today.
