"Two Kinds" Mother & Daughter Conflict

In the conflict between Jing-mei and her mother, her mother is always wanting her daughter to do what she wants her to do. Almost like she never listens to what her daughter has to say. For example, her mother has her doing so much tests, that Jing-Mei hates takinig. When Jinig-Mei forgets something, her mother gets disappointed. this shos that Jing-Mei wants to do something different than what her mother tells or wants her to do. Another example is when her mother was watching TV, she was amused of the piano music that was playing. The mother showed Jing-Mei the schedule that she will have. Time that showed when she will be practicing playing the piano. Jing-Mei didn't want to do it. This shows that the mother really doesn't listen to what Jing-Mei has to say. When Jing-Mei performed in front of audience, she was doing good until she screwed up. In addition, the mother was diappoinmted in her. This shows that the mother wants her to practice really hard and to be successful. In this case I don't know whose side I would take.

“Two Kinds” Conflict Experience Paragraph

I'm a person that likes to help other people. Well certain people, that is. There was this one time when my frinds and I were all in front of the school for half and hour, when I realized that i had to go home and change to go to work. I left and started power walking. I knew I was going to be late, I didn't know how late but I knew. There was this lady struggling, getting her stuff across the street into her car. At first I thought, why couldn't she park right near or in front of her house. I realized that there was nowhere to park. I passed by her, thinking that it will be fine. I heard something fall, I didn't want to be late to work, but I couldn't help it. I turned around and asked her if she needed any help. I helped her take her things to her car. After I was finished, she asked me if I was in a hurry to go anywhere. I told her I did, but that she didn't have to worry about. She offered me a ride to my work. I was late but I explained to my boss, he excepted it and left. I always feel good helping someone else out. Like I did a good deed to the community or something. I'm the type of person that will help anyone out, if it means to miss or be late to something. Evnen though being on time to work is important.

I used to be just like Maggie growing up. Shy, quiet,and envy people. When people come over to visit my family, just to hang out, I get very shy and will spend most of my time in my room, until they leave. Hakim tried to introduce himself to her but she got shy and left. Maggie and I have special things that belong to us, that have been passed down. My sister is really easy, because you can take something from her and she is too shy to ask for it back, just like me. It's still hard for me to ask for things back. To me, those are the things we share in common.

I am a very religious person. The things that I believe in, I value very a lot. My sister and I had survived a house that was on fire, in the last home we lived in. I was in my room, playing with my sibilings. The following day I was flipping through the channel, when The news got my attention. When I saw what happen, I was crying. I know that I didnt have any of my friends or family there, but my aunt had one of her friends there. She didnt know if she was there inside the building or around the building, but she was scared. She never got a phone call from her since then. That's when she realized that she was around the building and got crushed. I felt the other people's pain and sorrow. I will never forget the day the twin towers were hit by the plane and the people that lost their lives in the building and around the building.

Purpose of "The Pedestrian"

The purpose of "The Pedestrian" and why he wrote it was to tell us that maybe that the world will be like that someday. Everybody is always inside watching TV and minding their own business. While only one person will get tired of being inside watching TV and will go outside for a walk. He is warning us that if life will go like that in 2053, the world will be a disaster, maybe to teach us to be more active and not watch TV 24/7.

Life in 2053

The world will be full of technology. Instead of cars, there's going to be flying vehicles. The clothing would all be the same color and same design. Things will be automatically just how it is kind of here in our time, but in more advance. The seasons will be all over the place. Like the summer will be really hot that someone will invent the air condition on the go. People will invent things for "our own good" which will be a lie. We will have hollow grams and a 3D person popping out of our alarm clocks. Everything or at least everything will be updated to high tech.

Poem Analysis

Both the story and poem are alike. They both have to make choices on how they choose to live their life. They should live their life the way the feel it needs to be. Int he story of "Contents Of The Dead Man's Pocket" Tom had to choose between work and his wife, while in the poem "You want a social life, with friends", chooses between work, love, and friends. In reality, people have to make some hard choices when they can have a little time to themselves and do many different things they can be doing. Life is full of hard choices and both, the story and the poem are good examples of that. Your life are about the choices and what you make out of them.

Memorable Birthday

I just turned 11, when I had my first birthday party. It was the best day that I had. I felt really special and like someone cared about my birthday. I never knew how it felt to have a birthday party with all my friends. We had music, a lot of food, and a pinata. I invited all my friends. They brought me presents that I loved. Embarrassing Moment

In December, SPA had a talent show. I signed up with Bella. We were going to dance. But it wasn't any dance that we see at school dances. We were going to Belly Dance. I taught her half the song. I was scared and nervous about dancing up on stage. I knew that I wasn't going to dance by myself, I had Bella. But I still was nervous, we both were. I thought we were going to forget some steps or something. But we actually did pretty good. A couple of months later, SPA was having another talent show. But this time it was Family Day. Again I was going to belly dance. But this time I was going to do it by myself. I had everything down. I thought I was going to do fine at rehearsal, but I forgot half the moves. When the big day came, I felt like passing out. If I did the dance with someone else, with less people seeing, then I would of been fine. Parents and friends were going to see every one's talent. When it was my turn to do my talent, I had someone be in the middle of the aisle. I went on stage and forgot everything. So I just went with the beat of the song. Before the song was over, I went walking toward Calvin. We finishedd the song together. The whole time I was nervous, but the next I do something like that, I know that I can do it with or without somebody.

My weekend

My weekend was some what awesome. Saturday morning, I was at boys 9, watching t.v. with Marvin. John Patch came and brought his Xbox, so all of us can watch movies. We were watching a Jet Li movie called Fearless. After the movies was done we went to the gym. I was watching Marvin and John Patch play Basketball. My stomach was in so much pain, that I had to go home. John went to go get Marvin, so they can make sure I went home safely. Marvin called my house, so they can come get me. He thought I wasn't able to make it to my house, so he had me lay on the grass. The following day, I went to boys 9 again. But this time I went to go pick up my movies. But I stayed instead. I was sitting there, watching Marvin, Jose, and Carlos play a video game. John Patch came again, so I just sat there watching them play the same video game. John got kicked out of boys 9, so we went to boys 6 and watched another movie. My house went off campus to go see Step Up in 3D. I stayed behind because I didn't want to go and I was in the middle of another movie. After the movie, I went home and went to bed. I had a very nice weekend.

First day of school

My first day of school, I spent half of the day in the office. I'm not happy about my classes. I don't like what I heard either. I was really tired because, I'm still use to Texas time. Even though it's two hours ahead, I haven't got any time to sleep alot. I feel like my body is use to Texas, but at the same time I'm use to the time in California. So far my first day of school was not so good. Wanting to sleep the first day of school, was not what I wanted to start my year off.

Comparison between Yesterday and Today

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I asked this one girl what time are we going to practice for the talent show. She started making excuses, so i decided to cut her off. So now I'm doing the talent show by myself. It's going to be scary, but I think I can handle it. I'm just tired of people bailing on me. I don't care anymore, I just have to deal with it. Today, I'm doing a little better then yesterday. I miss Blanca, she left school early because she wasn't feeling good. I hope she gets well soon. I'm not going on pass for awhile because, I have to practice for the talent show with Joseph, Janeth, Blanca, and Augustine. So far, we are almost done and doing good. I can't wait until the talent show.

The all-school BBQ

The BBQ was ok. I reallt wasn't particapating in anything, except the scavenger hunt that the school had between all grades. That scavenger hunt was souch fun. During the whole BBQ, I was bored and it was boring as well. I really didn't feel like doing all they other activities at all. I cheered and supported everyone in im year. I thought that The sophmore's banner was better than everyone else's, but that's my opinoin. After lunch, Jesse, Blanca, and I went to the jumper, but Blanca left Jesse and I. Jesse and I stayed for awhile, but then we left to go find Blanca. Overall, it was a fun day. I hope we do it again.

Earthquake

Yesterday, while the earthquake was occuring, I was belly dancing with Dre, Aqua's sister. My staff stopped us and said if we felt anything, we said no. The next thing we noticed and heard were the things on the wall moving and the tables a little. We were scared and all. My staff started saying, "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!" We were running out of the house and then we saw everyone else do the same thing. A lot of girls were being really annoying, they were just screaming like it was the last day of their lives. Then we went back inside and finished belly dancing.

If I was a piece of fruit, what would I be and why.

I will want to be a mango. The reason why is the mango is so goos and sweet with a little bit of sourness. I loved mango since I first tried it. It's so soft like a pear and juicy as an apple.That is some reasons why I want to be a mango.

My favorite cartoon character is Gaara from the sand village. He reminds me of myself. He doesn't like talking to anyone, he likes being alone, and the thing that is really cool about him is that he protects himself with his sand, that he carry's with him at all times.

My day is not going good at all. Some people like to ruin my day. Besides that, I went to cheer practice. We are going to perform at both game, at half times. Yesterday i was talking to someone, and we were just letting everything out. I told that person everything. As in my feelings and all. I went on pass and man did I have fun. I watched Ninja Assassin. That movie was good. The main character looks just like Johnny from Boys 2.

Yesterday I went to a group about relationships. At first I didn't know what it was about. Into the group i was doing fine, but then the conversation was going in deep. Anyways, this morning Tim gave me little roses and a little picture frame. I thought it was so cute of him. I like what he got me. I'm not going on pass because it didn't get approved.

Toady I went to cheer practice. I really didn't want to go at all. I've been thinking of quiting the team and all, but I want to try it till the very end. My body is sore. I never knew that practice would be so hard. They make us do so many things, like lunges but in sucicide. Like running from a certain line and back. But, i can't wait to go on pass.

My Day

I thought that it was Thursday today, so I woked up at 5:30 and got ready. Then my overnight told me that today was Friday. I was planning to go on pass but I didnt because my friend wasn't there. I need the address in order for me to go on pass. I can't wait for the weekend!

My body is still sore from cheerleading practice. So far I'm having a good day. Sooner or later somebody is going to ruin my day like always. My favorite song when I was a child, was the theme song from the show Elmo's world. I still watch that show and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Winter vacation

My winter vacation was boring because all I did was basically nothing. I went on pass to go to San Diego so I can spend time with my sister and brother. The whole time I was on pass, all I did was eat, help around the house and have really bad stomach cramps. When it came to the Christmas party I was just watching little kids dance, eating food, and waiting to go home. I when I went back home with my foster mom and my sister, all I did was watch t v and eat some more food. Next year I’m hoping my winter vacation will be exciting.
